Second Amendment
The Second Amendment,
which is part of the Bill of Rights ,is made up of the first 10 Amendments of
the constitution. There are now 27 Amendments to this day.
The most important are:
- 13th (1865) End of slavery,
- 19th : rights to vote for women (1920).
- 15th: right to vote for Blacks (1870),
The Capitol, the Congress (house of representatives) votes these
amendments.
The Second Amendment allowed
people to protect themselves, at a time when the settlers were felt threatened
by their neighbours and environment.
